Canasta is the popular card game of the rummy family also known as Argentine Rummy. Use of joker cards makes the game unpredictable and very challenging.
You play as a team with computer opponent against computer team. Pick up cards and fit them into groups (melds). Group of seven cards called canasta and allows team to finish the round. Points go for the melds, the first team scoring 5000 points wins.

I havent played canasta since my dad taught me when I was a child. This game is wonderful to refresh my memories of playing with the family.
8 yr old son taught self to play canasta with this app. Now we are teaching sister and daddy with real decks of cards!

Fun to play. A little hard to read the cards as they become a canasta, but I like the way the team members do not hoard cards!

Theres no such thing as team melds.
Everything is negative if you dont have a Canasta.
You cant go out without a canasta
You only get the top card of the pack to make your points, you are not allowed to take the whole pack.
You cant give out 13 or 15 cards with 4 players. 15 with 4 players is an entire deck.
It glitches and gives out more cards than there are. Ive seen 3 As of spades when there cant be more than 2.
Why cant you play with 2 or 3 players?
I downloaded the free version to "try before I buy". Way too easy. I win every time. I also agree with the previous reviewer concerning the use of the entire deck to create melds in your hand. its not how you play Canasta. Ill be deleting the free version and keep watch for an upgrade that fixes the melding issue and then maybe consider the purchase. Other than that the came has great graphics and is well conceived. Just needs some more work.
This game is well presented and very easy to play. It is too bad that it does not respect the rules of the game specially concerning the minimum requirements to open the game or to pick in the discard pile. I will buy the app as soon this is corrected.
In Canasta, red 3s are worth 100 points. You add 100 points only if you have secured it/the, with a Canasta. If the red 3s have not been secured by a Canasta, they are to be deducted from the players score. This app adds 100 points per red 3 whether or not they have been secured by a Canasta. There are other logic flaws as well, but this one stands out.
Latest update freezes in update mode. Cant load it, or play, and it cant be deleted. Dont install!
